Foothill-De Anza was my gateway to opportunity. I’m running to keep that gateway open for all students– no matter who they are or where they’re from.

As a university professor who started my college education at De Anza, I’ve seen the challenges facing both teachers and students in the classroom. Foothill-De Anza is one of the top college districts in the country, but too many of our students have to choose between paying tuition or paying rent. Too many of our best educators can’t afford to live in the communities where they teach. I’m running to bring down costs for District families, invest in housing for our students and workers, and create innovative policies that care for our students’ wellbeing– so that Foothill-De Anza can remain the best district in the country for anyone who wants to learn, teach, and thrive.
